Volunteers make Habitat & Education Promotion possible. Whether you can give a few hours at an event or contribute your professional skills throughout the year, your time can help children learn, play, grow, and thrive.
No matter your background, there is a meaningful way to get involved.

Help with drills, games, age groups, equipment, setup, check-in, water stations, snacks, and a positive experience for children.
Assist with school-supply preparation, sorting, deliveries, distributions, school events, and other education-focused activities.
Capture photos and video, create event highlights, tell impact stories, or help HEP organize and share program content.
Help promote programs, distribute flyers, welcome families, support registration, recruit participants, or represent HEP at community events.
Contribute marketing, graphic design, data, website, finance, HR, grant research, fundraising, administration, or other professional skills.
Support tree-planting education, environmental outreach, fundraising, communications, or activities connected to HEP’s sustainability work.

Tell us your approximate group size, preferred dates, and interests so we can identify an opportunity that is genuinely useful to the program.
Not every volunteer role happens at an event. HEP also benefits from people who can strengthen the organization behind the scenes.
Coaching, mentoring, curriculum support, community connections, school relationships, and program planning.
Event planning, volunteer coordination, records, scheduling, finance support, data, technology, and process improvement.
Grant research, sponsorship outreach, donor communications, fundraising campaigns, and partnership development.
Social media, flyers, email campaigns, storytelling, photography, video, design, and community outreach.
Share your interests, skills, availability, and the type of opportunity you are looking for.
We connect your interests with an upcoming program, event, or organizational need.
Receive role-specific information, show up prepared, and help create a safe and welcoming experience.
Many HEP activities involve children. Volunteers are expected to help create a safe, inclusive, respectful environment and follow HEP’s safeguarding, conduct, photography/consent, and event-safety expectations.
Some roles may require additional screening, orientation, or training depending on the activity and level of responsibility.
✓ Protect children’s dignity
✓ Follow volunteer and event instructions
✓ Respect privacy and photo-consent rules
✓ Create an inclusive environment
✓ Report safety concerns promptly
